Education and Training on Climate Change Advocacy and Plastic Bottle Recycling
This presentation focuses on providing education and training on climate change advocacy, with a specific emphasis on plastic bottle recycling. Through this initiative, we aim to address the press issue of lack of proper waste management and raise awareness about the impact of climate change. This proposal outlines a comprehensive project aimed at educating and training individuals on becoming effective advocates for climate change. It also includes a guide on creating sustainable dustbins using plastic bottles.
YAF Schools Tour
YAF School Tour: Empowering the Next Generation of Girls The YAF School Tour is a dynamic and transformative empowerment initiative by the Yaa Animah Foundation, designed to uplift, educate, and inspire young girls across Ghana. This impactful outreach program is being carried out in Junior High Schools, Senior High Schools, and Tertiary Institutions, creating inclusive and engaging spaces where girls can thrive in all aspects of life. This initiative goes beyond school visits—it’s a nationwide movement that addresses the critical issues facing young girls today, equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to shape their own futures. The core goals of the Yaa Animah Foundation, which guide the YAF School Tour, include: • Promoting menstrual health and hygiene awareness, helping to end stigma and ensure girls can manage their periods with dignity and confidence. • Advocating for mental health support, encouraging open conversations about emotional wellbeing and equipping students with coping strategies for life’s challenges. • Championing girls’ education, motivating girls to stay in school and pursue their goals without fear or limitation. • Fostering leadership, self-confidence, and personal development, empowering girls to use their voice, embrace their potential, and become changemakers. • Introducing climate change education, raising awareness about environmental issues and inspiring young girls to take part in climate action within their schools and communities. • Promoting STEM and energy literacy, especially among girls, by encouraging their involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with a special focus on sustainable energy solutions and innovation. • Providing mentorship and role models, by connecting girls with accomplished women and professionals who can inspire and guide their journey.
