In a therapy session, a dialogue between the counselor and me,
Counselor: You don’t have the beauty of making mistakes because you strive so hard for perfection, which we as humans do not have.
Me: Should there be beauty in my errors or must I view my mistakes to be fanciful?
Counselor: I guess what I am communicating exactly is if you overthink a lot wanting excellence every time it limits you to challenge yourself due to your pursuit for perfection.
This made me analyze lots of opportunities I turned down out of fear of not being good enough, but the thing about being good enough is you never know until you try, I believe I am not the only person here facing this psychological orientation.
As a young professional, I get caught up in trying so hard to get things right all the time. It is imperative to engage in cost and benefits approaches when sampling but believe in your capabilities to challenge the norms and go outside the box, when you fail you know you picked lessons
Often I am told to take it easy and even to some extent discouraged, but guess what let no one pressure you to think you are not good enough remember the astute ones did not achieve greatness overnight, but they went through the process and embraced the beauty of making mistakes
There comes the question, Is it worth it? Change is very competitive and as one may have it adapting to new things doesn’t always come easily. To know whether it is truly worth your efforts, One must first have check how it aligns with his/her goals and aspirations Figure out what’s important to you and what you value.
I then drew my conclusion that , Embracing The Beauty Of Your Mistakes is A Stepping Stone To Greatness. Forming the right mindset is essential for one to thrive, Hope you enjoyed this piece of mine and remember to prioritize your mental health in this awareness month.
